HOUSTON

The Houston chapter has new leadership. Many thanks to Tim Garcia for establishing the Houston chapter three years ago and hosting numerous very successful fundraising events as well as their first Outfitters Day. Tim, with the help of Ashley Maldonado, did a wonderful job of growing the membership and spreading the word about TDHA in the Houston area. Ray and Shawna Watson are now at the helm and are looking forward to following in Tim’s footsteps to keep the momentum going. They, along with their banquet committee, are working on this year’s Bag Limit Banquet. The banquet this year will be held on April 10 in Old Town Spring. We’re looking forward to another great event! The 6th annual Pullin for Kids Sporting Clay Fundraiser is scheduled for October and will be held at Texas Premier Sporting Arms in Sealy. If you are interested in getting in- volved with the Houston chapter, contact Ray Watson.

SAN ANTONIO

The San Antonio chapter continues to grow. This year marks the sixth annual Shooting for Scholarships held at the National Shooting Complex. TDHA is one of the non-profit associations that is part of The Big Give SA for the third year in a row. It is based out of San Antonio, but anyone can give from anywhere. More details will be forthcoming on this event.

TDHA Youth Day is scheduled for Saturday, August 10. This event is free to any child from 5-16 who is accompanied by a parent. The youth day committee is already planning to make this event bigger and better than last year. Anyone interested in being a part of the San Antonio chapter and any of the planning committees should contact Susan Thornton.
